Hi Guys, hope you can help

Yesterday I needed to back up a stack of data from our server to my laptop. Not wishing to wait all day I stopped the wireless link and connected a cable.

When complete, I removed the cable and attempted to reconnect the wireless link.

No settings have been changed, but the laptop now cannot find any networks in range even though the Netgear router is less than 8 feet away.

    Has anyone any suggestions?

    Regards

I did something similar two months ago i am not a geek so it was trial and error in the end i reinstalled the driver for the router.
it worked for me but no doubt there are people here who understand it much better than me best of luck :major

    Thanks for that,

I have atempted to reload both the hardware and the software but to no avail. I thought the router might be at fault but another computer is using it OK.

Still got the problem with no real idea about what to do next.

    Relax Guys,

I don't quite know what I did but it's back.

Under the networks properties tag for wireless networks, I deleted the existing network and re entered the details exactly as before (I think they were the same) and surprise surprise - it worked.

    Hope this helps someone.
