Windows Continuously Rebooting, Can't Find Any Kind Of Fix

Hey everyone.

So my friend made her firts PC a couple weeks ago, it booted up first try and she hasn't ran into any problems since using until yesterday. She logged in and very shortly after reaching the desktop (probably about 30ish seconds) the compute restarts automatically, we've tried launching in safe mode, unplugging her external hard drive so the PC could only read the SSD that had windows installed on it and pretty much every other thing we could think of. We've tried letting windows restore itself and it failed, we tried reinstalling windows manually and that failed too. is this a software problem or is it likely to be problem with the actual SSD?

more likely it will be a software problem. You could try doing a system restore to the previous day if that fails more likely it's going to be fresh clean install of windows

 

I'm pretty sure her bf got her to try restoring from the previous day and the problem still occurred We tried installing windows fresh and it failed to install

 

I had a very similar problem but I also had a hard disk drive. Turns out that the connector to the HDD was not plugged in all the way. Sometimes the computer would reboot, then run a few minutes and then reboot, and sometimes it would boot and then reboot before the initial boot was complete.

That action had been going on for the last two years. Tried reinstalling Windows Vista a few times but that didn't help. When the computer ran, it ran nicely but never for more than 10-15 minutes before rebooting.

I didn't notice the loose connector until I purchased a power supply and started to install it. So far the computer has not restarted and has been running nicely. Just thought I'd say...
