Windows defender beta removal bug?

When I try to use "Add or Remove Programs" to remove Windows Defender Beta, the uninstaller tells me that it can't find the file:

    WindowsDefender.msi

    and fails the uninstallation.

As I understand it, "WindowsDefender.msi" is the installer executable file for Windows Defender Beta. I deleted this file a long time ago, I no longer have it.

I downloaded the new release of windows defender which has the same filename (WindowsDefender.msi), but the beta uninstaller will not accept this file, and fails the uninstallation.

Does anyone know how I can remove Windows Defender Beta from my system in this situation?

Thanks, any help is much appreciated.

I solved the problem, I was able to find the WindowsDefender.msi file for the beta version here:

    http://www.filehippo.com/download_microsoft_antispyware/?953

When the uninstaller complained that it couldn't find windowsdefender.msi, I gave it the location of this file, and the uninstallation finished successfully.
