Windows Defender Manual Update mpas-fe.exe File Corrupt ?

    Greetings once again Geeks -

    It seems when I download and install the file that manually updates Windows Defender I get the message "file corrupt" during installation. I have tried to download and install several times, even after a reboot. I downloaded mpas-fe.exe from the official MS site. I am running Vista.

    Of course automatic update does not work.

    Thanks for any help.
