Windows defender offline problem

    New poster here. I have read through the posts about this problem and it seems to be pretty common. Didn't know if I should add my post to one of those or start a new one, so if starting a new post was the wrong decision, please excuse me.

    My step father picked up Alureon, which I tried to remove with defender offline, and of course now Win7 will not boot. Same problem as most I have see. Just a cycle of start screen, then to repair or start normally screen.

    I have already ran the FRST tool and here is the file, if anyone could take a look and advise me on the next step.

    NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system

    Attached is fixlist.txt
    • Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.
    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST64.exe on your flash drive.

    Now re-enter System Recovery Options.
    Run FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
    The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).

    Thanks much for the lightning fast reply! As I noted, it's my step dads computer, so I won't be able to apply this until tomorrow, but I will update you on the progress. Again, thanks for the quick reply.

    I have the file saved and ready to apply.
