Windows Defender Wont Turn On.

    I just found out that windows defender will not turn on. It says its turned off by group policy. I know its not the best but it is still helpful. Any ideas to turn it on?

    What is your exact Operating System?
    What real-time protection AntiVirus/Malware program do you have also, if any.

    I have now read your system specifications in your Specialist Malware forum thread.
    You have AVG installed on your Win 7 system - that automatically disables Windows Defender when AVG is active in real-time protection. There is no need for both, and AVG themselves caution against trying to enable WD when AVG is installed and running fine.
    Keep AVG up to date and ignore WD.
