Hi. I recently began having problems with Windows (XP Home Ed.) Explorer crashing every time I right-click or attempt to delete any .mp3 files. Debug error:Unhandled exception in explorer.exe (KERNEL32.DLL) 0x0000005: access violation (I am administrator to the pc). Also now having Windows Startup problems (Boot start or system-start drivers failed to load (SMPLSCSI)).
I run adaware and spybot s&d regularly, and as of today also have current Hijack This log. Will wait for your reply to post it. Thanks for any help.

I'm moving this to the Software Forum. It sounds like it belongs there.

Do you have MP3 to WAV converter installed?

I unstalled any and all utilites having to do with .mp3s, and the explorer.exe crashing problem went away. Also replaced SMPLSCSI driver and the startup errors also went away. Thanks for the replies:)
