"Windows Explorer has encountered a problem..

...and needs to close."

This seemed to crop up after the recent Windows Update that also installed IE7. Explorer works just fine until I close the application and then the message pops up.

I use either Opera or Firefox for my browser, but I've also noticed that I'm also having more trouble connecting to the internet. Once the connection is established, either browser will work fine. The Explorer problem doesn't seem in any way connected to these browsers.

Windows XP Home with all updates are on the computer.
