windows explorer in xp home sp2

I'm wondering why my computer takes me to my documents when I click on windows explorer from the programs menu ? Thanks

 

That's how it is suppose open. Try this for starters>

Open up the shortcut for Windows Explorer right click on it & choose properties. Put this in the target area.
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,c:

That's if you want to change it.

 

Thanks a lot, that worked. I'm so used to 98 and I thought XP was just the same more or less. Change is coming hard for me but I like XP's features.
