Windows folder installed in different directory

After trying to boot up (XP Home) it said “ntldr” was missing. So I tried to do a repair with my install disk. All went well but it was late at nite & I was very tired & instead installed the “Windows folder” in a different directory as it said there was already a Windows folder. So, stupidly I did just that. When it rebooted normally of course I had what looked almost like a clean install. Most things are gone like in programs from the start menu, none of my regular icons on desktop etc.

When I use that hard drive as a slave everything is still there. Is there a way to use my old Windows folder, delete the new one or trick it into using the old one? ntldr is now in the C Drive that this happened in but will not boot into my original windows folder when used as the master drive. I don't want to do another clean install if I don't have to though all 51 GB is backed up.

What options do I have? Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance. I'll refreshing this page often for the next hour or so for any replies.
