Windows Instal Help!!

I just bought a brand new computer but i comes with Linspire as the operating system. I have windows xp pro on a cd so i wanted to instal it... but when i put it in and its detected it tells me that its a windows cd and when i try to open from cd rom and go to setup it asks me wich program to use to ope. Please help!!

What are you trying to do?

Create a dual-boot system or install XP overwriting Linspire?

 

i'm trying to overwrite linspire with xp... i have tried to restart and see if it boots from disk... but no dice...

 

Make sure that the CDROM is the first boot device in your BIOS.

 

i don't know how to make this crap open bios...

 

actually i just got into bios... i put all the boot devices on cdrom but it still started from the hdd... wtf??!1?

 

If that won't work change your boot to floppy and use the WinXP setup floppies.
