Windows Installer -- corrupted?

How do I go about downloading Windows Installer for Win XP? Apparently my Win Installer file has gone bad.

Thank you. I think this may have been preventing me from loading the PDA software.

 

Have you tried the Installer cleanup tool?

The link to download the utility is about a third of the way down the page, just above the big gray box labeled "Contents of the Readme.txt file"

 

I can't begin to say how much I appreciate everyone's help on here.
I will have more questions down the road, and hope at some point to have enough knowledge to help others like you are doing for me now.
