Windows Installer Errors And Lots Of Other Weird Stuff

Cant Install anything trying to install symantic antivirus and other programs fIRST GET WINDOWS INSTALLER ERROR "tHE WINDOWS INSTALLER SERVICE COULD NOT BE ACCESSED" I DO A SEARCH AND MICROSOFT TELLS ME TO DO SEVERAL THINGS FIRST RENAME MSI.DLL MSIEXEC.EXE AND MSIHIND.DLL This does not work as ren just creates a second file and does not rename if i try in file manager to rename or delete file does not delete or rename instead same thinfg creates a second file example ren msi.dll msi.old i get both files if i try to straght msi.dll i get cannot delete message msiexec.exe if i try to delete windows puts it in recycle bin but when i do refresh file is back in directy even after dumping recycle bin another problem i have found is the windows serch function does not work i go start , search for files and folders and it stops there (retyurns to desktop. I have also installd (it lets me) windows installer 2 however i do not think it takes as fiiles are not deletewd or renamed . Please I am AT a Loos PULLING my hair out HELLLLLLLLP

 

Ben there done did that Im running XP Pro SP2 and my problem looks like a lot more then windows installer as i have posted i also cannot rename (properly) or delete some dll files nor can i do a file search

 

just re install your os and repair
