Windows Installer wont stop.. and other things

History...
I had a virus/malware occurrence about 2 weeks ago that hid most of my C:\files and/or moved them into temp internet folders. It also messed with all my permissions, causing havek spent time with several good people (Chaslang & Kestrel13) in the Malware Forum getting the machine cleaned up. There are still several lingering issues that they felt could be best handled in the Software forum.

Issues:
1. Windows Installer keeps trying to run. The primary use source is C:\DOCUME~1\RANDYS~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\7zS3D08\OJProL7X00_Full_14\setup\TrayApp\

This is likely from an HP printer that is loaded in this machine.

2. The Windows Office products won't load.
3. The Adobe products wont load.

ANy help is greatley appreciated.

have you cleaned temp files yet?

you may end up having to uninstall and reinstall those programs:

Look for the selected programs in add/remove programs first,

see if you can use add/remove programs to uninstall/repair them

If that doesn't work, you may have to try something like

If you give me the exact version of office, there is a microsoft fixit tool to completely remove 1 of 3 versions.

 

I have MS Office 2003 business. And Adobe CS3 suite.

Yes the temp files have been cleaned.
