Windows installer

    Windows installer is missing.
    I'm running Win 7 Home premium 64 bit.
    I've tried everything to no avail.
    it's not listed under services.msc
    Where do I get a new copy to renistall?

    Hi

    Do you have the Windows 7 DVD? if so then from an elevated command prompt (CMD) type the command sfc /scannow and hit enter.

    *elevated command prompt can be opened by typing CMD into the start search box and then when it shows in the left menu list right click and choose Run as Administrator.

    Or can try the registry fix listed HERE in item #6

    Have you had malware lately and if so are you fully clear, if not and if nto aware of being malware infected then run the below, but if you find malware then start a new thread in the Malware part of the forum and attach the requested logs.
