    Hi,
I would refer to the READ THEN RUN ME FIRST here...

follow the instructions to the best you can. This may be malware/virus infection. If you get the all clear then post back here and we will run a few other processes to see if we can resolve this for you.

sorry for taking so long to respond. I tried to load everything listed but ran into a few snags. Firstly super anti-spyware was the only prog. that would install due to message ( another program is trying to install please try agian later). Since that time I have run both avg,(licensed) spybot, and super anti-virus multiple times to no avail. Any further help would br greatly appreciated.Thank you

tried d/l installer cleaner and came up with this.

error 1500: another installation is in progress. You must complete that one before continuing this one.

    Hi

Try the Win Installer Cleaner tool in safe mode (f8 at boot) and see if that helps

It reads like you have to kill the running installer before you can install - Crtl+Alt+Del and select Task Manager > Processes tab > check the show processes from all users button at the bottom. Look for the msiexec.exe, right-click it and select End process and click OK on the popup warning.

This should now allow you to install the Windows Installer Cleanup tool.

MSI installers cannot run in Safe Mode by default, the service cannot start.

Thanks people.Tried something else before I read this comment. Used my other computer to install on it and transfered installed file to a flash drive and ran it on this computer. Everything seems fine now.No more lending computers to anyone, family or not. Damn Kids.lol.

Just as an addition is there an online computer course I can use, other than picking all of your brains, that i can use to learn more about computers. Again many thanks to all who helped
