Windows Installer

    Can anyone help me figure out how to stop a Windows Installer program from running on startup trying to install/reinstall Microsoft Money 2004)? Its one of those installers that no matter how many times you click CANCEL, it keeps popping up.

    War Eagle,

    According to Microsoft, when you install something by Windows Installer, the install data was registered and also.under \windows\Installer (hidden) W.installer Package and W.installer repair package is reserved.

    Then, if the incompatibility between these hidden files and registered data is caused by some reason, installer problems occur.

    And the use of Windows Installer Clean Up is reccomended by MS. Download here    .

    Thanks for the reply but I guess I'm out of luck because I'm using XP. Any other suggestions?
