Windows Latest Upgrade, Was A Downgrade For Video Resolution!

HP Pavilion with onboard ATI Radeon HD 3200 display adapter driver downgraded with Windows latest update. Now there is a generic driver that we can not remove or update. Prior to realizing that the update caused the problem, we restored the computer. This took the option of removing the update away. Everything that we have been able to find, only helps to optimize the CPU usage on AMD site. We need the driver that gives higher resolution. Now at 1024 x 768 which makes circles look like ovals, elongated everything. Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. GASMAN

 

Gday Gasman, ahhh yes update, not an upgrade......which OS you using mate?
Have you tried a manual display driver update to latest from here to bypass the forced win update, and if done, does it help at all?
What options are contained in your Win resolution settings?

 

Replicator, Thanks for the look & your time! Win10(64 bit) & yes we went to the AMD support page & tried the 7 and 8 download. Looks like this Windows update has skewed many`a AMD display screens. The MS basic driver gives us 2 options, 1024x768 & an even worse 800x600.
