I've installed Windows Live Mail on my new Win7 Dell desktop. The problem I'm having is that it is locked in "work off line". This means you have to click on send/receive to receive mail.
In researching this problem, practically everything I've read says go to IE and open the file tab and then be sure the "work off line" tab is not checked. Problem is, IE 11 has no "work off line tab". And MS says there is no way to switch from work off line to work on line thru the live mail program itself. Anyone had this problem?

Hi No not had that issue. quick thing to try is right click the WLM shortcut and choose run as administrator and see if that helps.

Do you have another browser as default on your PC, other than IE? if so what?

I tend to use Outlook these days personally and Thunderbird is a good free alternative.

Thanks! Tried the administrator but no change. I use Firefox. Spent a lot of fruitless time on this. Similar problems are all over Google. 90% of the recommended fixes are to be sure the "work off line" tab under FILE in the tool bar is unchecked. Problem is tho, IE 11 no longer has this "work off line" tab (lol). I may uninstall IE 11 and try IE10. Thanks again.
