Windows live messenger 2009

G'day just thought i would post and let you all know that i have finally found a solution to my sign on issue with messenger 2009.
The problem was it would sign on but sign off again a couple of seconds later.So if anyone else is having this issue this is what i did to resolve this issue,first i found this information at " http://mindofsiderius.blogspot.com/ ".
if you open my computer and go to local c drive then open programs files.locat the windows live folder and open it,in side you will find the contacts folder,open it and inside locate the welcome.exe file then right click on the file and choose properties from the drop down menu.
in the next window choose the compatibility tab and change the run in mode to windows 2000 mode also tick the box to disable visual themes press apply and close back to the desk top.
close windows live messenger completely then start it again through the start menu.once the sign in window appears sign in as normal and the program should run with no issues.
