Windows Live Messenger problems

My Live Messenger hangs when I sign-in, when I open a conversation window, when I mouse over my contacts list every once in a while and even when a contact signs in and the notification pops up in the corner.
Also, my messages never seem to go through.

Already ran through the malware guide with some help on these forums, but since it's a software issue I figured I'd come here for extra assistance.

 

Personally I don't like windows live messenger. I would recommend in downloading trillian messenger as it works brilliant and you can sign in with multiple accounts.

 

I've tried Pidgin and Trillian.
Honestly, I would go back to Pidgin instead of trill because trill doesn't show individual user names in msn group chats.

 

The main thing is to test the connection away from WLM, either Pidgin or Trillian will be fine for that.

 

Tried with Pidgin.
Everything works fine. No problems there.

 

If it was on Microsoft's end, I'd be having the same problems with Pidgin, wouldn't I?
