windows live messenger

ugh im so frustrated with my computer lately

okay so i have windows live messenger 8.5 with msn plus added and it works fine i want to upgrade to windows live messenger 9 and it says the file thats in c:\windows\installer\ the windows live 8.5 installer file cant be read im assuming corrupted how do i fix this please guys

i am aware of that and the fact still remains that there is a corrupted installer because everytime i try to start my msn ( 8.5 ) it says theres a missing msi and i have to hit cancle then it installs.

i'd like to give WLM 9 a shot if i can get some help

If I am reading is correctly it is looking for the install file whenever you start Live Messenger? I had this before when I installed SP3, what I did is redownload the WLM 8.5 installer and put it 'anywhere' then when that box pops up, browse to your 'anywhere' location and click it. then it will do it's thing and you will be back in business.

 

well see i did try to re download but i cant seem to find the right installer i can get the windows live installer but not a 8.5 msn installer but i know what you mena i'll keep looking or if you have a link to download that would be great

well i got the new msn and it would only log me in for 40 seconds then say it had to close but my friend has it working fine so i guess i depends on the computer get this program at your own risk
