Windows ME problem

    Hi

    Could somebody tell if there is anyway for me to reinstall windows me without losing my files and apps, because my system is down, and I dont have a floppy boot disk only my windows me cd, because I can only get my computer into safe mode and even then i have no toolbars or icons on my desktop?

    Check your bios, and see if your computer has the option of booting from a cd.

    If not - see if any of your friends have a Win98 boot disk floppy. It will work on your system.
