My computer came with Windows Media Center pre installed. The question I have is what good is it if you are not connecting your computer/tv to watch/listen to live TV/stereo music?
I am running Vista Home Premium and WMC came with it along with a bunch of other garbage which I have removed.

Windows XP Media Center is basically Windows XP Professional with a few features added to it for better media functionality. It really is a bunch of unnecessary add-ons, but does not affect the rest of the OS. Many people, including myself, would rather have Windows XP Media Center than Windows Vista because XP has better performance and better compatibility.

So if I don't use WMC for the TV and Stereo Music capabilities then it is ok to remove the program? Or does it have some other features I could use?

So you must be running the Vista Premium operating system that has the Media Center program with it. I thought you meant the computer came with the Windows XP Media Center operating system (which is like XP pro and was released in 2005).

As for your question, I don't see any reason you would want to uninstall it. If you wanted to, and it gave you the option in the programs and features to remove it, It shouldn't hurt your operating system. You just won't be able to run it.
