Hello, i have been using the Limewire P2P program and have downloaded an episode which wont play in windows media. Its supposed to be an AVI clip (whatever that means), and when i try to play it i am told i need a certain codec and are directed to a site with various codecs. I dont know which one i need, and am not told which either. Does this make any sense and do i need to give any more info to you guys?

If it is a video codec problem go herehttp://www.free-codecs.com
and download a video codec pack and install it.
If this does not work try installing the vlc media player from here http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ that plays lots of files media player doesnt.

If this doesnt work then if just might be a corrupt file you do get those from limewire

Otherwise one of the better codec (compression/decompression aka coding/decoding) packs: K-Lite:

Just install, you should have one of these to watch a diverse array of video formats.
