Recently I bought two new movies and put them into my computer to watch and got this error..

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card."

My video card is a ATI.

When I go to the site to look for driver updates, I dont see anything.

An old friend had given me a link to a site that would analyze and update all your drivers for free. I had it on my old computer and I dont remember what it was, but it worked wonders.

I have already installed VNC video player that folks say just works fine with any codec for the most part, and although it DOES play... it skips and jumps and that isnt a very relaxing way to view a movie.

    Hi

If your PC is one from the likes of DELL, HP, Sony, etc what is the Make and model varient as this will assist us if we need drivers? as if this is a laptop PC not all unified drivers may work and the below program will tell us what ATi version graphics card you have.

If your PC is a home or custom build what is the motherboard make and version?

To find this info you can use the likes of Everest to find this info, at times a summary log of your PC can help, to do this

    Install Everest and run
Click Report (top menu) > Report Wizard > Next
Choose System Summary Only > Next
Choose Plain Text > Finish and wait for report to generate
Click Save to File and leave the File Name as Report, then click the Save as Type dropdown and choose Report files (*txt) and click Save (n.b. Save to desktop is best as easy place to find it, use Browse to locate desktop)

Then attach your log to your next post as per these instructions HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post

RadarSync is one online scan that I can remember but personally I dont trust these to be 100% accurate as they dont take into concideration OEM built PCs which can have hardware that has same name as others but be custom designed for a purpose, installing some drivers can cause items notto work and Audio is a common one,
