Windows Media player - error downloading codec

    Greetings,
    I have XP os runing media player ver. 10.00.003646. I am having difficulty when I play video that I have audio but no video. The one video file was .avi format and I get "error downloading codec" message. I downloaded "G-spot"and under codec it says "div3", name "divX3 Low-Motion". Stat "codecs not installed". How do I install the proper codec? Thanks
