I downloaded a video using Freemake Video Downloader. When I tried to play it with Windows Media Player 11 (file version 11.0.5721.5145/WMP_11.061018-2006--I copied what was displayed in the file version), I get an error message, telling me the Intel ITU H.264 (H264) codec is missing. The video is in AVI format (first time I've had a problem playing this format!). Where do I find this codec and install it so the video will play? Should I NOT convert videos downloaded with Freemake to AVI and let them in FLV format? Running OS Windows XP Professional with SP 3.0. BTW, I am able to play the video with Media Player Classic: Home Cinema.

Oh, guy, WMP can not play avi or flv format, you need to install the codec (google search "h.264 codec"), or convert them to wmv files.
Or download a VLC player, it supports playing a range of source video formats. try it.
