windows media player wont burn

Hi guys my media player wont burn it comes up with this message

Windows Media Player cannot burn the files to the CD. Verify that the disc is clean and not damaged. If necessary, select a slower recording speed or try a different brand of blank discs.

iv done everything it say but with luck

so i tried media 11 and that dont detect my cd burner

Try turning off your Anti-virus while burning - it could be that your AV is trying to scan this files as your nurn, hence making them unavailable.

Also update the drivers to your burner and see if that helps. I don't know what your burner hardware spec is otherwise I would link you to this. The reboot.

Make sure you are burning at the lowest speed possible.

my burner is a
Disk Drive ST360021A (60 GB, 7200 RPM, Ultra-ATA/100) if that helps

I guess Lev was sugesting to update your burning software (like Media Player or Nero) Sometimes the media is selected "by default" then try changing that to the kind of media you are trying to use.

 

Make sure your DMA mode is enabled too http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/storage/IDE-DMA.mspx
