Windows Media Player

I have been downloading audio files and burning them in WMA for sometime now. I now run into another problem. WMA upgraded to version 11. Now when I download the file and then try to burn it in WMA I always get the error message, "Please insert a new disc in drive D. Once WM Player detects the new disc it will automatically start burning. It does not start burning. What am I doing wrong? I cannot get the file to burn. It is downloaded in the MP 3 format. Please advise.confused???

 

Not sure if this will help but try going to your options and making sure that all file types are selected

 

I have them all check but it still won't burn on any CD.

 

Its not the full answer, but....
one of the easiest ways would be to use system restore to restore to a point just before wmp11 installed itself

If it did download and instal itself
go to microsoft update

http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us

select custom

and mark wmp11 to 'dont show this update again'

 

One other possibility..Are you using the right discs for your burner? -R or +R Sorry had to ask

I don't know if it is version 11 or something else because I have burned files up till a couple of days ago. This just started happening.

 

Try system restore to just before it started happening, thats what it is there for
you wont lose any data, just config changes and newly installed programs
