Windows Media Player

    I recently downloaded windows media player classic.It will not load up.Ive tried to download windows media player 11 over it but nothing works.Can anyone help me?:(

    Hi

    Do you get any error messages when trying to run it? if so what are they.

    Also double check in Services that Windows Audio service is started and set to automatic, to get to services click Start > Run and type Services

    I got no error messages.Windows audio service is on Auto.

    Start the Run and type in mplayer2.exe what happens?
    If nothing try mplayer.exe
    (My MPC is mplayer2 but yours might be different).
    If it runs, that means that maybe the shortcut is corrupt.
    Go into C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player nd find the exe. Right-click it and choose send to desktop as shortcut. Click it and see if it opens. If it does, you can move the shortcut somewhere else to lauch it, if you don't want it on your desktop.
