Windows media player lost about 90% of my music. All of my music files are in the music library on the D: drive, but not the player.
I tried: Organize, manage libraries, music and I saw that D:\Music unresponsive (see picture). Who do I fix this unresponsive drive?
I already tried Microsoft Fix it didn't help.

Problem fixed, I had to use Advanced System Care 8.0 Pro. In the toolbox I used Win Fix/ Advanced fix/Media Player/ "Reset windows media library and fix library sync issues"

This is the second problem I've had with Windows Media Player recently. I'm wondering if
    it is a update issue?

    b1jqxk44...

Glad you got your problem fixed.

I sort of wonder about this, if this is something Advanced System Care, itself, tends to break during cleaning. Maybe the tool was added to somewhat rectify the issue. :-o

AtlBo, I wonder what other problems ASC causes? This would be nice to know.

plodr, I'm reading up on different player now. I am looking for one that can handle all of my music files. I have 183 GB of music. Most of the players I already read about only handle a thousand files. I'll get back to you when I find one.

I'm not aware of any, but I was just curious about it. Perhaps you could do some research if you are concerned...

I saw three listed for very large music collections: Music Bee, Media Monkey and Foobar 2000.

I downloaded Music Bee, because it seems to be the best for large collections. Didn't install yet waiting too see if WMP fails in the near future. If it does I'll install Music Bee.

Besides a few small glitches in v3.7 and v3.8 ASC has never had a major problem.
I spent about 6 hours reading the Iobits forums. Not one post on WMP ever losing files. However, I did learn a few tricks, on other tools in the toolbox, that I didn't know.

[If I read the post on Win Fix right.] It searches for problems in IE and WMP that Microsoft Fix It tool doesn't.

The only problem with ASC that I read a lot about is payed Licenses failing. People buying the Pro version and when they turn there computer back on and ASC reverts back to the free version.

I'm going to check other sites, to see if I can find anything wrong with ASC. I'll get back in a day or two, with results.
