Hello, when Im on a web site and click a link to watch a video whendows media player starts and I get an error.
The error says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because a network error occurred. The server might not be available. Verify that you are connected to the network and that your proxy settings are correct."

I Hit more info and it brings up windows help to the section "C00D11B3: Encountered a network error"

I tried everything in that section and nothing works.

If I download the file it will play. I don't want to download the files all the time.

    Windows XP Home
    Windows media Player 10

    Thanks for your reply!!

They are the same as the help file for WM Player.

I tried what they say with no help.
I'm also wondering if it is with IE 6

    Thanks
    Matt

If you are behind a firewall, try turning off the firewall and try again.
