windows media player

i am having a problem with my media player , or at least i think it is..

anyway, i was using a website with video clips and what happens is when you click on the funny clips the web page your on goes blank and says done and windows media player opens and plays the clip.

now i installed nero 7 but didnt like it and so unistalled it and have changed to the bt voyager router with built in firewall since i last accessed this this.

since these events all that happens is the page goes blank and says done but windows media player doesnt open, i can use 'launchy' on firefox to open them but wondered why it doesnt do it automatically, is it something to do with the nero video player making itself my default and no longer being available??

try using internet explorer for your browser

 

Yes nero usually asks you what file associations you wish to make it automatically play (ie: mp3 wav etc) when you unistalled nero the associations stayed ...you should be able to change this in media player settings ....not sure of the exact path as i do not use wmp
