Windows Messenger Blocker Revealer

Hi,

A friend of mine wants to know if there is any software out there which can tell you if one of your contacts in Windows Messenger has blocked you. Any ideas? Preferably something tried and tested as she doesn't want to crach her PC in the process.

My memory may be playing tricks with me but I think Mercury had some pretty nifty tricks from what I remember, it's a messenger app for MSN, Yahoo, AIM and more, it can (I think) tell you who's deleted you from their contacts and more, not sure about blocks though, been a while since I used it.

If you login to MSN from Mercury, right-click your own name at the top, it pops up the Options for the account settings. Under MSN, click Friends and you get a box with 4 tabs, Ghost friends, Blocked contacts, Fake friends and Faked friends.

But not who has blocked you. As DomLuc wrote earlier, "I am not aware of any genuinely safe and reliable program that can do that", he's probably right .

 

I would steer clear of any software that 'claims' to do what you want. It will most likely spy on you as you are trying to spy on someone else.

If someone blocks you that's their business and their decision. If you think they are and won't tell you then they might not be much of a friend anyway. Blocks were created for and usually used for a good reason. So you can be left alone by certain people.
