Windows messenger

Hi guys,
Something weird, happen. Some times when I am using the pc I get the windows messenger sound but the weird thing is that I am not using this program, this program is shut down. Any idea why this happen?

Do you mean "Windows Messenger" or windows live messenger?

Every time I hear that sound the first thing I do is check the Task Manager so see if it’s running, but is not running. In the program options I disabled to automatically start with windows, also I got Start UP CPL so I am sure Windows Messenger doesn’t run at windows start. The program is Windows Messenger Version 4.7 (4.7.3001)
Any idea?

 

I am certain you are not talking about "Windows Live messenger" and that you're referring to windows messenger.
