Hi I am trying to join video clips together with Windows Movie Maker 2012 in Windows 7 64bit.

The 12 files are MP4 and I can play, trim, join or do anything within WMM. I can also save the file as a project then go back to it and play it through continuously as one video.

When I save the file as a movie using the recommended settings it takes hour to save then I get the following message.

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."

The player obviously support the file type as I can play the videos either individually or consecutively within WMM as a project and the codec used to compress must in WMM as I saved the project as a move from there.

Why can WMM not play the movie that it created? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Axel
