Windows MP stops when new windows opens/close

    Windows MP stops when new windows opens/close...... :rolleyes:
    i used to listen radio.....but when ever i open/close window/ie.......sound stops
    temporarily......

    98 / wmp 9 .....

    PLZ HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes:

    Did the problem just start or have it always been like this ? (If it just started, can you recall any changes you might have made?)

    To me it sounds like an IRQ sharing conflict. Usually solved by moving the soundcard to another slot or forcing IRQs in the motherboard BIOS.

    Check that your IDE HDD are running DMA mode and not in PIO mode.

    No it starts suddenly!

    I installed few games.....thats it!


    DMA box is not checked
