    Greetings

    We have windows 7 professional operating system and have installed and the old windows 2000 professional operating system because some applications have other results in new windows and other results in old windows, both windows were installed successfully and work fine but after a while when trying to open windows 2000 it crashes at the start up, in safe mode it shows that the files that crash are the HAL.DLL, KERNEL32.DLL, NTDLL.DLL, NTOSKRNL.EXE

    Any solution to this problem?

    Thank you

    If you mean you installed 2000 in a folder in Win 7 then you have done the computing equivalent of half filling up with petrol and half diesel :eek: The proper ways of doing this are either to first setup a virtual machine and install 2000 in that, or set 2000 up on a second disk. I suspect you installed in a folder and if so there probably isn't an easy fix and you may as well leave things as they are and put up with the inconvenience. At least both are working despite your disk being in an unholy mess. Just possible one of the wizards here knows of a fix though.

    @Earthling
    "If you mean you installed 2000 in a folder in Win 7...." hey "interplanetary" punk geek or whatever they call you, if you had seen "well" or "understood" didn't meant an installation of a folder inside another folder because that happens after a while

    "....then you have done the computing equivalent of half filling up with petrol and half diesel :eek:" don't worry "interplanetary" punk geek the computing is not "equivalent" of half filling up with petrol and half diesel there are and other ways such as electricity and steam :eek:

    "The proper ways of doing this are either to first setup a virtual machine and install 2000 in that, or set 2000 up on a second disk." "interplanetary" punk geek already had done that in the first place with a virtual partition of the main disk

    "I suspect you installed in a folder...." "interplanetary" punk geek your suspicions are wrong

    "....and if so there probably isn't an easy fix and you may as well leave things as they are and put up with the inconvenience." if it was a real mess and wasn't an easy fix as you "think" don't have to "leave" "things" as they are and "put up" with the "inconvenience" there are and other ways such as a format of the disk

    "....your disk being in an unholy mess." don't worry "interplanetary" punk geek the disk is not being in an "unholy" "mess" as you "think"

    "Just possible one of the wizards here knows of a fix though." so you admit that you know nothing about the subject

    by the way another thing is to think and another thing is to know

    Just wondering is it possible an installation of a TP-Link adapter or a browser such as Chrome or Firefox to cause such a conflict?
