Every time I start up my computer, a 'Windows - No Disk' error message pops up. Does anyone have any idea what causes this, or what action needs to be taken to sort this out?

Just clicking 'cancel' is enough to bypass it, and my computer seems to be working fine besides this. I'm just worried that this message is indicative of a larger problem.

Check your bios settings as to boot order ...also remove any usb attachments when booting (other than printers/scanners).
