I have a old Dell laptop computer , 233Mhz, Windows NT base, with a logon password, which I can't remember.

I have an installation disk for Windows Me, and am trying to upgrade, but can't seem to do it. A friend has told me I have to set up 'partitions?'.

I am an amateur at this and need some help/instructions as to how I can get the laptop set up to use. It has a removable CD/Floppy Disk Drive.

Look forward to hearing any advice.
