   I have recently re-installed Vista Home Premium from the recovery disc provided with my Pc
   
   This has resulted in the creation of a Windows.Old folder, do I need to keep this folder,or can it be deleted ?

   It can safely be deleted. A I understand it, the creation of the Windows.Old folder is merely to allow you to recover certain files that would otherwise have been wiped in previous versions.
