   tripseven Private First Class

   I cannot open faxes or view jpg's/bmp's etc... with windows picture and fax viewer. I have removed other photo editing programs. I also specificlly choose the windows program as the default and nada. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

   Did you follow some advice a while back on the possibility of WMF files allowing an attack on your PC and un-registered a DLL?
   
   Try the below
   http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=82300
   
   and then use windows update to patch the issue.
