Running Win. 98SE, recently I noticed during a regular maintainence secession that in c:\windows\temp folder there were some entries I have never seen before, all similar to this ( jetc35.tmp, jet76a.tmp, etc.) some of them can be deleted, usually one cannot. When I reboot they reappear, system is running fine - I'm wondering if they could have something to do with Avast! ???

Either something to do with MS database Jet Engine tool, or else a HP printer temp? Otherwise, only God or someone wiser that I knows...

They are little resident files that Avast will insert. You can only delete the old ones. There will always be two current ones running. Nothing to worry about.

:) Thanks Robert, I kinda thought it had something to do with Avast! -
