Windows Repair

Just wondering if anyone here has used Windows Repair and, if so, what do you think of it? Any tips?

We have two older laptops and though I try and stay on top of them, running CCleaner, Malwarebytes, AVG, and occasionally Driver Booster, they still seem to be getting a lil slow and a bit finicky. I'm guessing it may be stuff running in the background but I don't know what is or is not supposed to be running. Thought maybe Windows Repair might help.

Have you looked at what's running in Task Manager and turned off needless windows services

Not sure which Windows Repair program you are talking about. Please specify.

 

Also I presume that they are both HDDs (rather than SSDs).

Have you scandisked and defragged the drives recently

They're HP and Toshiba laptops so I assume they're HDD and no, I haven't scandisked and defragged the drives recently.

Tweaking.com - Windows Repair is a first class program.
But, it's not going to fix a slow PC.

 

If you read that page it will tell you what is safe. Make a note of your changes (I usually do a screengrab as precaution)
