Windows search

After using AntiSpyware and anti-malware, I have Lost Windows Search. Any ideas how to get it back?

 

Even when you rt click the start icon on the desktop?

Operating System?
If you go to My Computer and right click, does search come up?
Is search box coming up but no box to put search criteria in?

 

Thanks tjet and Cat w 9 lives for your replies. I've only just found MajorGeeks - its like aladdin's cave !
When I right click on My Computer, and when I go from the Start button, I get the search box but there is nothing in it - no perameters, boxes anything.
Does that information help?

 

Hi again, your OS is WinXP-SP2?

Try this:

Click the Start Button
Click Run
Type (copy and paste) the following commands one at a time and click OK

regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 vbscript.dll

You will get a confirmation after each one

If above does not work some have reinstalled Windows Script to correct the issue.
