windows server 2003 boot partition size

Does anyone know how to change the boot partition size in windows server 2003?

In order to change the boot partition size you will need to use "3rd party" software.

There are a several shareware utilities out there that can do this accomplish this; however I recommend using the Acronis Disk Director Suite 10 as it includes Acronis Partition Manager which allows users to resize, move, copy, split, and merge partitions without any loss of your data. It costs about $50 bucks but the suite includes four separate [very useful] disk management utilities: Partition Expert, OS Selector, Recovery and Disk Editor.

Very Important Note: Make sure that you read all the directions and HELP files very thoroughly before actually using it. This is definitely not one of those programs which you simply download, install and then click a button for it to work correctly.

Also, although Major Geeks list the OS compatibility as Win All; the Acronis.com FAQ lists Win98, WinME, Win NT 4.0, Workstation Service Pack 6 Win 2000 and Pro Service Pack 4, and Win XP Home and Pro Service Pack 2... Since the FAQ does not specifically list Windows Server 2003; so you might want to contact Acronis Customer Service to submit your request via online form and ask them if your particular OS is supported - just to be on the safe side.

TIP: If you're on a tight budget; you might be able to obtain this Acronis Disk Director Suite v10 [or even an earlier version] cheaper on eBay or Amazon. I got the Acronis Disk Director Suite v9 a few months ago on eBay for about 20 bucks w/shipping included! Just a thought...
