Windows Server yes or no

Hi all,
I am turning to the good people here a Major Geeks for some advice. I have a client that is pretty much insisting to have a .ASP site. Which must be run on a Windows Server. I don't know a lot about Windows servers but what I have heard has not been very good. Therefore i am asking for any help I can get the pro's or cons. Does anyone have an opinion they would like to share??

This is a question similar to asking someone whether a PC or a Mac is better. Everyone, depending on their orientation will have a different school of thought. As someone who interfaces with server tech people on a daily basis, the consensus I find is that most (if not all) of my business associates would rather die than use a Windows server. They are regarded as unreliable and prone to security flaws. Only a professional opinion.
