Windows sp2 upgrade

Stupid question.....


If you have automatic update enabeled for sp1 will it express install it on it's own for you, or do you have to do it manually?

 

That is your choice to make. If you have it set to automatically download and install, it will do so. If it is set to only download automatically, it will place an icon in the system tray to notify you it is ready for installation. Click on it to start the installation.

 

If I were you I would try to download it from somewhere. If Microsoft isn't offering it to download, I would go and look for it. I got it like the day after it came out so I know that its out there.

Hey I did a little research for you and this is what I came up with.
Microsoft has and SP1a update still available. According to micrsoft the only difference is this version doesn't have the Micrsoft VM(virtual machine).

This should be able to let you know what updates you haven't installed yet.

Yeah, I went there and after a little searching found the option "find out what service pack you are currently running". Thanks for the help...................Problem Solved. One of these days I'll understand this stuff.
