   has anyone had issues installing on brand name PC's?
   
   my friends complaining about it not booting up
   
   he told me that the windows boot screen shows up for 2 seconds the the system restarts

   Is PC a HP one and with AMD CPU? if answer is yes to both then this from Jesper will help http://msinfluentials.com/blogs/jes...ed-computer-boot-after-installing-xp-sp3.aspx small VB tool to run as it basically removed the intel files that OEMs have in their basic default image install for all PCs, they cover all bases with one Image file, sadly they come unstuck this time and the intel files on an AMD pc baulk at SP3.
